The Quantum Information and Optics Group at the National Autonomous University
of Mexico (GIOC-UNAM, by its acronym in Spanish) is composed by researchers and
students of IIMAS-UNAM, ICN- UNAM and IF-UNAM. For further information on the

Since its foundation, GIOC began a series of regular meetings with a dual
purpose: present the main research advances both within the group and in the
international community, and understand the basic aspects of quantum mechanics
and quantum optics at a graduate level. We currently meet on Thursdays at
12:00pm at the Instituto de Fisica. Hence, we open the doors of our seminar to
any interested person seeking contact with our research group.
